Here you can find informations about the evolutions I made to the GNUnilink project to connect it to the archos jukebox with the rockbox open source firmware.
You can also contribute in this wiki with your own infos, so you can share with the entire world.
In the side bar, you will find a link to the original web I made that I haven't completely ported to this wiki yet.
GNUnilink is a pic microcontroller based design to interface to Sony CD changer head units (HU). It acts as a CD changer emulator, so the HU thinks it has a CD changer connected.
The first purpose of GNUnilink was to activate the AUX line inputs, which could not be used.
The evolution I made consists in connecting the GNUnilink to an Archos Jukebox mp3 player with the Rockbox open source firmware, and control it completely from the HU. The jukebox display is also reproduced on the HU making a complete integration.
As Simon Wood, the original author of GNUnilink is not reachable, I made a new subversion repository for the source code.
Thanks to CVSDude for their grateful version control and software project management services.

The forum has moved to mictronics website. You can find lot of information there about the unilink protocol and about other CD changer protocols.
Thanks to micheal for hosting us. All users and posts have been transfered. Email notification working on his forum.
