Project State: Specifications
The OpenHU project goal is to design an open source car radio replacement.
The features to be implemented are:
* a big nice LCD panel with backlight (why not colour?)
* a standard car radio form factor so it can be installed easily in any car. This means that the LCD should be rather large and not too high.
* the selection wheel (rotary knob) is a nice idea.

* any simple protocol for controlling an external mp3 player. For me, I would implement a single wire bidirectionnal asyncronous serial protocol (like the archos remote control link) Maybe several protocols could be supported.
